Three Friends

I was just looking at the pictures Pam put on Facebook and I see you wondered about Emma's doll.  These dolls are given to students who are in the various sports.  If it's football, the doll wears a football uniform, if basketball, a basketball uniform and in Emma's case, her doll was wearing track clothes.  Because of COVID Emma missed out on most of her last year of track and she was never presented with her doll.  The mothers would get together and paint the dolls and give them to their girls or boys at the banquet at the end of the year.  Pam called the school and asked if she could come in and paint a doll for Emma because Emma had missed out.  They said for sure she could so she did and Emma was SO HAPPY.

Emma was so thrilled to get "her doll", she thought she had just missed out because of COVID. 

Right, she was pleased and so surprised because she would never have dreamed she would ever get that doll.   Those kids missed out on a lot, especially the ones like Emma who were finishing up their last year of school and then COVID hit.
