Perhaps Matt will do it for you, I hope so as I don't like the thought of you on a ladder!!!!

I wonder why the people are coming back to see the place again? Perhaps they need to measure some things out?

Hahaha Linda I thought you meant the big mossie flew in and bit me and flew out the window leaving a kcarc ~!    Yes John said he would cut the vines on the ladder  today ............. waiting waiting !!!!!
New buyers .. once the sale has gone through ... are allowed by law to come visit once again to measure or whatever !  Usually they come just before everything is signed off to make sure there are no changes or damage done during the sale closing time   ...   but this couple want to come tomorrow ..... and the sale is not complete till April 10 ? or close !

I can't remember if we did that, it's been 32 years since we bought this place!!!

Why is it men say they are going to do something and we have to wait forever for it to be done and if we happen to mention it once or twice, after waiting months, we are nagging them!!!!?? Hopefully John will get it done today for you.

I know, I hate to bug Larry about stuff but Larry does tend to put things off more than I do anyway.  Not that I'm all that great about it.  There are so many things I could have done today that have not been done but then we all know that "a woman's work is never done".

John did it today ...it was a bit cooler and he must have been bored as he also water blasted the roof and cleaned the gutters which were full of pine tree debris from the storm BUT they had not been done for ages !!! What a mess he made also and had to water blast the back of the house and windows as the buyers were coming and it was disgusting !!!! He also HALF did the hanging climber so I ended up pulling the vines off !!!!!!

All men put things off but then I do too if I Am not in the mood and I always think that I will eventually get the job done BUT I will KNOW when it is time to do it as I will get the ' feeling... do it today ' !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The woman buyer is a Pom originally from Stratford on Avon UK and along with her husband and their 2 adult sons. One son has a daughter 13 and they will live up here and the other son has 2 young boys 7 & 11 ( says Cash) and they will live in Dan's house along with Gran and Grandpa !!!!!!~ A strange combination I think but I don't know their story !

Shakespeares home town, it's such a beautiful spot too. Do the sons have wives?

I am glad John sorted the gutters etc out, that's a job he won't have to do again, we hope!! Did you pull all the vine down? The verandah must look so different to you now.

It's unusual to have two single sons with children, can't think of anybody I know who has that situation.
Larry does everything BETTER than I do so whenever he does something he doesn't very well.  Sometimes he starts something but doesn't finish, that's rather typical.  I always finish what I start but it's not perfect, but "good enough".  I know that you clean and in no time it's dirty or messy again so I don't scrub my fingers to the bone so that's why I do it "good enough", but Moira, don't tell Darien.

The house buyers do  sound like like an odd family set up !!! No wives .. there would be a bit of a squash IF there were wives !  Definitely just  the one son to live here with his daughter, he looked to be about maybe mid thirties and drove a Ute advertising Mechanics !  Mind you the Pom mother with her long blonde / gray hair looked only about in her mid 50s ! I did not see he husband except in the distance down at Dans. But the other son had 2 small boys !

I love Stratford on Avon too so interesting. S Moira and I worked in Stafford.... just north of Birmingham in the GPO college (My Mum got us the job as she also worked there for a time !~ )  while we were saving up to go to USA ! We visited Stratford a couple of times on our days off :) Lots of interesting historical places :)

I did not pull the whole vine down but it does look a bit tatty today with some gaps !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very odd family set up and the problem with all that is, we will never find out why they are set up like they are as you won't be there

I will forgive you Linda, I wished I could be like that too, perhaps one of these days I will be

You will have to take a photo of the vine nowise I can see what it looks like.

It is a strange family set up for sure.  I don't suppose you will see any more of them before you move.  Do you have a moving date yet?
I've cleaned so long Darien and I know how quickly it  needs it AGAIN so I don't wear myself out.  Now that I'm OLD I do things less often than before too.  I keep everything neat, I hate a mess and clutter and I clean but nothing like you do I'm sure.

Yes it is a strange set up with the house buyer family ...  but I have ways and means of getting a good story !!!!!!! Hahahahhaha watch this space
No special moving date as yet. Mid  April - ish !
I am with you re cleaning nowadays Linda and it used to be my paid job in hotels once upon a time  ....  but because we live in a field I am fed up with the dust and garden stuff tramped in and dirty windows ..  so I now tend to shut my eyes until it all gets too bad !!!!!!! BUT MY Kitchen is ALWAYS clean and hygienic :)
I will get a  photo of the vine tomorrow Darien :)

Yes, girls, my kitchen is clean too, I wouldn't work in a dirty kitchen, actually I COULDN'T!  My house isn't filthy dirty, I just don't obsess about cleaning I suppose you might say.  As I said "good enough" is my motto.
I know you mentioned April as a moving date and I'm sure at some point you will have a date for the moving company to pick up your things.  Will all the animals go along??

I have a new cleaner starting Friday and I just hope this one is a good one and reliable. They come every fortnight to the house across the road and I finally caught them and asked if they could do my place. I so hope they are good. I struggle these days to strip and remake my bed as my hands hurt to lift the mattress to tuck the fitted sheet in and they change and make the beds as well, so I am doing something I never thought I would and allowing a stranger to make my bed for me.

Talking of beds and mattresses, I have bought a new one as mine has had it. While we were away in the Hunter, the mattress there was the best one I think I have ever laid in, so I asked them what type it was, it's an Australian brand called Sealy, so I went out and bought one, it will be here in 4 weeks

Ys I too have Sealy and I got it from Harvey Norman in Perth !   IT was not cheap but so comfy that I had it shipped over here. I often lay in my bed and think:  ' Ahhhhhh this is so comfy'  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea which model mine is as it is now 6 years old but still the best bed ever :)

Good luck with your new cleaner Darien and I hope she can do whatever you need !

As for our moving etc.. the container in Dan's yard belongs to us BUT it is full of  ... stuff !  Apparently we / I need to go and see what is in there !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW what is in there ... apart for Dan's camping stuff..... John's Law books, John's I NEED stuff, old clothes etc. .... and maybe a box of my mementoes and Yar's Antique Cabinet :)
