I'm glad you saw my answer to Wilma, yes, that is grated cheese on top. I steam the cabbage first and put it in a tea towel to drain as much of the water out of the cabbage as possible, squeeze all the water out. When that is done, put in a dish add chopped up bacon. Mix 3 eggs and about 300 mls milk, add a pinch of salt and cayenne pepper, or paprika, pour over cabbage, add cheese on top and bake for about 45 mins. We have it with crunchy fresh bread, usually a vienna loaf
