I am not a fan of Morphine either, I had a lot of it after my heart surgery and in the end I told them I would rather not have it at all, so they did stop and tried me with Endone, that was even worse and I have since found out after having it again, that I have a severe reaction to Endone, which is morphine based. My body reacts badly and I just shut down, I am completely out of it and my BP drops dangerously low. So I don't touch any morphine based meds!!!!!

I have never heard of Endone.  You had a terrible experience with those drugs so it's no wonder you want nothing to do with them. 
Other than being very groggy, I had no bad side effects and the pain relief was wonderful.

 I looked it up .....  It is called Oxycodone in Australia from what I read and I have a vague feeling that I was on it one time for something after some operation !!!!    I also think  Matt was put on it when he had his 2nd knee reconstruction in Perth and it made him stupid... !!!!!!!!!

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...................you just asked what my pain medication is and I told you Oxycodone but I think I spelled it wrong.
It does help but by no means eliminates the pain entirely.  I'm up this morning, got dressed and hope to stay up for awhile.  I "think" it's a little better today, I'm pretty sure it is but it's hard to tell.

I have only ever known it as Endone, I think that may be the 'generic' name for it.

Well Linda if you can cope with taking Oxycodone and it is helping then good for you and I hope it takes away ALL the pain (((((((((((((((((((((Linda))))))))))))))))))))))) It sounds better if you are able to get up and dressed today

I ended up putting my robe back on and I'm not dressed today, it's too binding around my groin area.  I seem to be able to cope with the medication and it helps.  I'm only taking it every 6 hours now.

  Yes, how would you  know what I mean???  I wear capri pants now that it's summer and when I have them on, plus underwear it feels like my groin area is being squeezed and it hurts.

OH HELP Linda, get some LOOSE shorts or even pyjama shorts ..... or whatever .... even an over the boob dress so your midriff and lower area is NOT compressed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just leave my nightgown and robe on all day and that works.  If I have to go somewhere I can manage with the capri pants.  When I get home I would get back into my nightgown and robe.  I HOPE to get my hair cut tomorrow morning, it really needs it and I do have an appointment.

Are your capri pants tight then? Wearing clothes doesn't affect my arthritis, putting them on does though!!!!!!

Help Linda and I thought I was bad going round all day in fluffy PJ bottoms and no bra !!!      Maybe I should invest in a nightie .. never had one for many, many  years .. hmmmm  thinking about it !!!!!!!

I hope you manage to go get your hair cut tomorrow Linda,  mine needs doing too but the last cut with the local woman ... it is not growing well... not the way I like it to grow.... to me it means the cut was not good !    I got a bit bored yesterday and found some hair colour mixture stuff in the bathroom drawer  so I put some reddish brown on my boring hair... and it has not made much difference but it has covered my gray bits at the sides ! Not that anyone would notice it anyway !!!!!!!!!!!!
Well John did not neither did Jack or Greta today  :)

Darien,  putting on my socks nowadays gives me problems !!!!!

No, my pants, jeans or slacks aren't tight, but through my groin on the left side the clothes seem to cut like a knife but that's better today.  I'm dressed and think I will stay dressed.  For some reason I like nighties, they seem more comfortable to me.

The only item of clothing that irritates my arthritis is my bra!!!! My right shoulder has a lot of problems, rotor cuff problems, a ganglion, tendonosis and bursitis, so when the cortisone injection wears off, my shoulder hurts terribly when I have a bra on it.

I am going to go on the Arthritis site and get some aids, they have gadgets that help put your socks and all sorts of other things. I have been putting it off, but I think needs must these days.

I wear nighties in the summer, much cooler to wear than PJs.
