Super Glue
« on: June 11, 2020, 09:23:22 pm »
Jack and I have been making a rocket ship for the  passed week. I had to buy some little magnets and super glue yesterday to finish it off and to magnetise the parts together so when they are flying the can be taken off ... the bits come off a normal rocket... I cannot remember the names of the bits !!!!!!!!  Anyway I got super glue all over my fingers today and it is a bugger trying to get it off and it burned when it got stuck on !  Nail varnish remover works to a certain extent but in the end I had to use an emery board and file it off !!!! I keep peeling bits off from the end of one nail !
Anyway Jack did a couple of photos on my camera so I will have a look at them and put one up so you can see what I am talking about   ::)
I hope you can sleep Linda

What a wonderful Grammy you are.  Jack will never forget any of this EVER, these are memories that will be forever.   Your poor Super Glue fingers, they must be so sore now with all that filing.  (((((((((((((((((((Moira)))))))))))))))))))  As I always say, WHAT CAN'T YOU DO???

One finger is a bit sore on the end but all the glue is off now. Jack took his rocket to school for news day ! He said one of my glued on magnets fell off but the school glue gun is much better than mine or my super glue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO it is fixed now  :D

I would think at least one finger would be sore.  I'm sure the kids liked seeing Jack's rocket, his teacher too and glad he got his magnet put back on.

HE must have gained a bit in confidence as he is not one to get up in class and speak ! Or maybe he is just obsessed with space and rockets !

I was wondering about that, he didn't looked flustered or shy at all, my thought was that he didn't mind speaking to the class.  I think that rocket was a great thing all around.

Oh no doubt it was because he has a passion for all things space and is not shy when he is talking about them

You would both be astounded by the knowledge he has regarding space, rockets and the planets... not forgetting the black holes, the minor planets and the ... can't remember the names ....  ::) He surprises me often  !

Most of us are like that, we know a lot about whatever we are passionate about :) Jack is very clever though and I hope it takes him a long way.

When I think about how young he is, that is really amazing.  Maybe his interest will continue and he will go into something involving the solar system.  I know he is a very smart little boy!

Hopefully his dream will come true. Does he also know there is a lot of study involved as well?

Yes I did tell him he needs to study science subjects etc but it did not bother him and they also have to stay away from family for weeks to make sure they are of sound mind and can cope being out of touch and ' up there'  alone or with only one or two other people. !!! I would not let him go and neither would Bonnie but Jack says he is going !  Hopefully he changes his mind  ;D
