Three Friends

I am assuming the kids are on holidays, but I don't know that for sure of course.

It was very humid here again today, I took the dogs for a quick walk down the lake and then I came home, dropped them off and walked to Kylie's place today, about 1 kilometre (2 miles Linda) away, but it was so humid I didn't walk back like I usually do, Kylie drove me home.

I enjoy walking and don't mind how far, it's just the humidity that stops me sometimes. I don't always walk that far, but more often than not I do.

Kylie is about the same, her thyroid seems to be ok, she had her yearly ultrasound done this morning and instead of taking about 10 minutes, it took 45 minutes and that worried her as the technician kept calling the Dr in. She picks the results up tomorrow, so maybe that will give her some answers. Her Lupus is still active and causing her some problems, but she just whines to me and we have a whinge together

I too would have asked questions if the doctor kept coming in when I was having a scan ! Not that they would tell you anything till the scan had been checked out BUT I would still have asked !

Shiree is Kiwi and Martin is German and they met in London. Uma 9 and Max 7 ( Maximillian Theodore  !!!!) were born in London and they both speak English and German at home.  Shiree does not speak that much German but she understands some.   They all live in Hong Kong now which is ruled now by China. It used to be ruled by the UK once upon a time ...loaned to UK  by China for 150 years or something like that !!! ( I asked John )  They are actually having riots there in the streets at the moment because Hong Kong people do not want to be ruled by China now .... they want a democracy not communism.  Luckily Shiree does not live in the actual city areas.  Shiree says she has no idea where the kids get their American accent. TV ?  Funnily enough the accent faded a bit after playing with Jack and Cash !!!!

 I do not expect you to have to remember all this Linda.. I will not question you on it.……….

GOOD, I won't have to be tested about Shiree and her life! 
I see all about the Hong Kong riots on TV.  It's a wonder those people aren't jailed or worse.  It seems like a strange place for Shiree and her family to live but that is where Martin works I assume.  Those kids are really exposed to a lot of different things, they will be quite a worldly pair. 
I see Max and Jack are the same age and Uma not much older so she would have fit in fine.   
The report on Kylie seems "pretty good", not perfect but I'm sure it could be so much worse.  Do let us know what Glenn has to say.

Hong Kong is a large banking are for the world, always has been. The people rioting won't win as China will never give in and give them their freedom back, no way!!!! Shame really as it's all they know, not the restriction of communist China.

Kylie is unsure why too, Moira. There are a few things on the report she is unsure about, hence why she is waiting to see Glenn to get them explained to her.

Yes HK people do not want to be ruled by China and their communist way of ruling.   Madeleine did go to HK to visit Shiree but she was not impressed. At the time Shiree etc lived in an apartment in the middle of lots of other apartments.  ON some floor high up off the street. 36th floor or something like that. It was not good for the kids either but they moved some time later and now live in a better area and in a house.

Shiree is trying to get Martin  to retire and move to NZ !
