I know that all students in the Waterloo schools now have tablets.  A far cry from when I went to school long ago!!

We just aren't used to it and didn't have a phone handed to us to play with as a baby!!!!

You can also answer and talk on your phone with the iPod airs and even talk and send a text message!!! I think though you have to have an Apple computer, phone and/or iPad for it to work though. There are other ear phones you can get that are compatible to all computers though.

I am sure you could also use Audible through your computer, you could only use it around the house though. As I keep saying, I love being able to do my cleaning while listening to a book, it makes the house cleaning so much better somehow. I wouldn't be without it now.

What type of mobile phone do you have, Linda?

It's a Samsung, that's the brand name if that's what you mean.  I have the Internet on it so it's like a little computer I guess.

Hahaha I cannot even imagine me with ear phones in my ears while cleaning this granny flat ! The mere thought makes me chuckle ! It only takes me a few minutes to do it.... well to vacuum and put away the kids toys ! My kitchen area is nearly always clean and tidy as is the bathroom apart from the floors !

Christene has a Samsung as well, she swears by it, different to an iPhone though. My phone has internet and I can do almost anything I want with it and as you say Linda, just like a mini computer.

I scrubbed my filthy bathroom on Monday, I hadn't really cleaned it for a while, well mainly the shower area I mean. All spotlessly clean now. I left it so long as I was waiting on a cleaner to come, who never showed up!!!!! I am giving up on them for a while and trying to keep my house as spotlessly clean as I can manage.

You are making me feel GUILTY Darien so when I'm done here I am going to do a little cleaning.  Larry is gone for a couple of hours so here I am and I need to do something constructive!!  I'm sure you clean better than any cleaning person but don't do TOO MUCH and get all worn out.
By the way, how is Robert feeling these days?  Is the diarrhea becoming less?

Darien, the world will not stop turning IF you do not clean your loo !!!!! ..........or your bathroom or your kitchen  I am sure your bathroom is NEVER filthy !

I do actualleh know what you mean though as I walked into my small bathroom this morning WITH my glasses on !!!!!! Help... Matt had been shaving in there ... shaving his head and neck and his chin etc etc !!!!!!!!!!!! Bloody hair all over the sink !

I did a bit of a clean up today too as the boys went back to school.. after being off Monday and Tuesday  !!!   But Greta is not at Kindy as they have lots of covid cases in Montessori !    I vacuumed up all the crumbs and food stuff because the boys think this is a shop ! I usually do it on a Monday ... after the weekend !

No the world won't stop, but my world will be most unhappy I will be washing my dirty floors today as after all this dreadful rain we have had, the dogs come in with wet and dirty paws!!!! They are going to the grooming parlour today to be clipped and bathed, which is thoroughly needed too!!!!!
I am happiest when my house is clean to my standard and now the weather seems to be cooling down, I will have more energy. I have learnt to pace myself now and only deep clean one room at a time. I just can't do it all in one go anymore.

Oh girls, guess what...................I did NOT clean as I said I would.  Instead I remembered I needed to get our tax information together so we can take it to the person who prepares our taxes.  That way, I could sit at the table and do some calculations, easier than cleaning!

BWAHAHAHAHA Well done Linda :) Why do you have to do TAX when you do not work to earn any money ??????? Well I do not do any tax nowadays ! I don't even pay any tax as far as I Know !!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose if you are happy Darien that your house is spotless and no germs or bugs around then you can relax and enjoy the scenery.    I do have to wonder in this case WHY you even put up with dogs as they can bring in so much muck and mud !!!!!! Pass.  Yes I know you love your dogs   George sneaks in here but at least we do not have mud because we do not have any rain !  The kids make more mess here !
Did all the awful rain come down as far as you ???? (((((((((((((((( Darien ))))))))))))))))

Oh well done Linda That was a very legitimate reason for not doing house work, taxes are important!! Robert deals with all the taxes, or should I say he gathers all the paperwork and hands it over to his accountant and they work it out for him.

Yes we had a lot of rain here over the weekend and into Monday, there was flooding everywhere and my lake broke its banks as did Wyong river, it has been a very wet summer. The last three days we have had little to no rain. Yesterday was the first time the sun has been out for weeks and it's another glorious day today, a real Autumnal day, with little to no humidity

We have to file taxes because we have investment income and we pay tax on that.  Many things are deductible so I have to go through the check registers to see what we can deduct and make a  note of it.   Then we will take the stuff I've compiled to the attorney who does our tax returns.
I was thinking that you have the dogs and they would require a lot more cleaning than I would have.

Well we don' t have any investments except this house ... and the kids are our investments  but No tax to pay... not as far as I am aware anyway ! Why do you have an Attorney to do your taxes Linda ? Here an Attorney is a lawyer !  We would use an Accountant to do taxes if needed !

Good job the rain has stopped near you now Darien as it did sound awful further North !
