Jack must spell very well and I'm not surprised.  Is Cash as good at it and does Greta want time on the computer to?

Sesame Street is still on TV I think. I just looked it up and yes, it's still on TV here.

The ABC is Australia's government-funded national broadcaster, which has broadcast Sesame Street more or less continually since 1971 twice-daily in a weekday timeslot on its main television network.

Jack is good at spelling ( I taught him ! ) .. Cash seems to me to be slower catching up but he IS getting good on the computer .....!  Greta .... well she just wants to watch Peppa Pig or Paw Patrol on the computer  !

Jack went to Kit McGrath this arvo ...so Greta and Cash were here and I took Greta to the supermarket with me and she MADE me buy all sorts of stuff  !!!!!!!!!!!!!    Especially a book/magazine for kids  ... $9.99 made in UK and it had free kids pink nail polish and a bag ! Plus it had stickers ... we LURVE stickers ......and pictures to colour in. Well Greta and I had fun for 2 hours filling it all in !!!!!!!!!!!!!  She went down home happy once Mummy and Jack got home....... along with all her book  'stuff'  in a shopping bag .. including the biscuits she NEEDED for Kindy tomorrow ! :)

Remind me again why Jack is going to Kip McGrath?
So Greta has Grammy wrapped around her little finger I remember those days when the kids would make me buy stuff for them while we were shopping

YES Darien you are right and methinks Greta does have me wrapped around her little finger  :)     Jack used to be the same as I also had a lot to do with him at the same age. Cash was different as they left Perth when Cash was 2/3  but now he is my Helper :)    I rarely take Greta out nowadays as she is at Kindy Mon - Thurs. but after Kindy today she brought her book from yesterday and we had to finish off the colouring in and stuff.  She had also taken the book to Kindy today to tell the teachers how Grammy helped her to colour in !

It is extra tuition in Maths and English ! Dan thinks the Maths teaching here is rubbish so he enrolled Jack a year or so ago and pays for it but it got cancelled due to covid last year and some lessons are owed as they were paid for in advance.  This week Jack did Fractions in Maths !!!!!!!!!!!!! I can teach him English and I Do make sure he can spell and pronounce the words correctly !!!!!!!! Maths ....  Pass !

OIC........it's a learning thing and I imagine very good.  So Jack goes to regular school too, right?  So why do you have to teach him anything?  Or are Dan and Bonnie thinking of home schooling?

Yes, the boys go to regular Primary school. Age 5 - 12 in the case here in Helensville.  9am to 3pm.      Then they move on to College / Secondary School...... aged  12/13 to 18  !

Kip McGrath is extra learning . NOT that Jack is behind in any way BUT this is extra Maths teaching ! His reading, English and spelling is very good ! Also his general knowledge and his general speaking ability !!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes ... unfortunately he imitates Matt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right, your college is our high school, then we go onto college and you go to UNI I believe.   I'm sure Jack does very well in school but the extra learning won't hurt and can only help.  I wonder if the schools are better where you are moving?  You said Dan isn't very happy with the school where the boys go now.

Hmmmm not too sure about the local Primary school in Waverley as it is a small country town ... not big at all so who knows. !

I just looked it up and it only has 90 pupils and almost half are Maori !!!      Helensville Primary here has about 400 Kids !

Sometimes a small school like that is much better as the teachers have less students per classroom and there for more individual teaching.

It will be interesting to see what the boys have to say about the school and how Dan and Bonnie feel about it.  Didn't Bonnie visit the school when she was there?  I think she did .  They have a kind of bare bones website, at least compared to our schools but it sounds like it's a good school from what I read.  The fewer students per teacher is a plus for sure.

Bonnie visited the primary school in Brunswick.... a few miles away from Waverley as that was the small town with the first house Dan put on offer on .... BUT because the first sale of THIS property here fell through .... they could not get a mortgage.... so he had to let that house in Brunswick go..... it had a Granny flat too !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway Waverley looks Ok and I went to lots of small schools in my primary school days ! Mainly Catholic schools I have to say and THEY did tend to be smaller schools. !

I went to a small school too, only 62 graduated in my class compared to the 400 that Emma graduated with.
