Well, we have a couple of beaches, one in Waterloo and one in Cedar Falls, but right now they are covered in ice and snow and they aren't big beautiful beaches like you would have.  I would have to drive to either of them if I were to walk along them, they aren't that close to me.
No, I didn't build a snowman.  We had freezing rain, then snow, then sleet and then more snow so it wasn't exactly snowman building material this time.

But Linda, you do not live on the coast or anywhere near the sea do you ?  I have a feeling we may have talked about this before and you mean sand all along the side of a lake ?????????????????????
As for a snowman, I would build one if we had snow but not in sleet and freezing rain  ! Keep warm.

We have discussed this before and not that long ago either. When Moira and I talk of beaches, we mean ocean beaches, not lakeside sandy areas :)

Yes I thought we had talked about this and I know my geography and Linda does not live close to any ocean or sea :) I have no idea why or how those faces turned up at the end of my post !!!!!   :)

Yes I know we talked about beaches and I am sure I told you that we call them beaches even though they are beside a lake and not an ocean.  It might not be proper but that's what we do.  Every year for more than 20 years we went to 10 Mile Lake in Minnesota and we sat on and played on the BEACH!

I do remember  about your lakes and the beaches around them Linda :)
Our most local beach is Muriwai and it can be quite rough and dangerous with rocks and bad tidal waves.

I think I remember reading once that the best beaches are in Western Australia in the Perth area. :) :) :)
