So you don't just love your LG?  I suppose there are different models so you and Darien might not have the same one.
We have an ancient OLD Electrolux, they seem to work and live forever.

My Milele vacuum was like that too, I was hoping this one wouldn't be. The LG does have a lot more attachments and I can even mop the floor with it!!!!! I used it yesterday and I am impressed so far

I can mop the floor with mine too but I have never bothered as I only have a wee bit of kitchen floor and it is easier and less hassle to just use a wet cloth!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have my normal electric vac. and I use it when I clean the car !

I might try it and see if it does a good job of washing the floor, but I prefer to use a good old fashioned mop and bucket. So you have never tried the mop section Moira? Pity, you could have been my guinea pig

I just answered this post and it wouldn't post, so I will try again!!!!!

I keep all the manuals for electrical goods in files, under kitchen, lounge room and misc, I also staple the receipt to the manual so I know how long I have had it for. I might try the mop today or tomorrow and I'll let you know if I do.

This make me wonder Moira, do you have good storage space there in your new granny home?

I didn't try the mop yesterday and I don't think I will be trying it today either, I don't feel like it. I didn't even vacuum yesterday and I normally vacuum every day as I haven't been sleeping well and on Tuesday night I was up THREE times to go to the loo and it seemed to take ages to get back to sleep. Last night was much better, I only got up once.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Darien))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))  This sounds like Larry, up and down all night though Larry is much better.  I'm glad you only got up once last night.  Larry doesn't have to hobble around on a sore foot either.
You can always try out that mop when you feel better!!

Fairynuff Darien the vacuum mop will wait as will the vacuuming too !!!!!!!!! Its not as if you have wee kids running round and making a mess daily !!  Stop fretting over it ! I cannot understand why you do vac. every day except maybe because your dogs make a hairy mess ???????????????     (((((((((((((((((((((Darien )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Your sleeping habit is sounding like mine too Darien ! Except I don' t get up for the loo so much, maybe once  BUT I do get up to straighten my hip / leg sometimes lately !   AND yes it takes me ages to get back to sleep so I resort to my ABC thing.... I have mentioned it before .... 5 things ... Country, capital, boys name, girls name and a vege / flower . Starting with A and going through the alphabet ! Sometimes I Do go off on a tangent and think of other things  but sometimes it sends me back to sleep ! AND I do have a lovely, comfy bed too !

NO Linda, I do not have much decent storage here in this granny flat. We do have a double cupboard in the passage / hallway and it contains the washing machine and vac. plus my linen and JOHN's 'stuff' on the floor bit ! Plus spare pillows and MY ..errrrrrrr boxes of photos and boxes of stuff :) Loads of boxes still up in the loft space in the studio  ! IF I had an outdoor Roof over the deck then I do have 2 sets of drawers in the studio and I could keep lots of things in them ...even outside !!!!

I seem to be peeing all the time lately and I need to go in a hurry too, I think I may have to mention it to my Dr soon if it doesn't get any better. I did read though that stenosis of the spine can cause incontinence of the bladder and the bowel, my bowel is ok though at the moment.

You need a shed like you had in Helensville, you can keep so much 'stuff' in them. Where do you keep all your craft and art gear? What are in the boxes in the studio?

I have been meaning to ask you if you have finished the books I sent you?

Maybe  your stenosis of the spine is causing your frequent "pee" problem.   I sure hope your bowels stay "ok", mine have been better because I skipped last week's treatment.  Now that I had one today, I suppose my problem will show up again for awhile.  That reminds me, I need to start taking the anti diarrhea medicine again on a regular basis.  It would be good to mention it to your doctor.  Maybe you have a UTI?
I was thinking that you need a shed too Moira, a person needs storage space as we all have lots of STUFF and it sounds like you need more space to store things.
