General Discussion / Re: No Treatment Today

Sadly it a very common side effect of chemo and why some people have to stop the treatment. As you have gone along for (is it 8 treatments?) you will just need a rest before you continue I would think. I have done a fair bit of reading, but not knowing what your chemo is called, it makes it a bit harder to do a proper search.

You remember Robert's brother Ryan don't you? He couldn't have chemo at all as it immediately effected his blood cells and he had to be hospitalised for a while each time he tried, he decided to not bother with it after two traumatic tries.

I don't think I have PVD, nor does my Dr really either, but we need to rule it out as a cause for the ulcers. My history though is also a cause to have it checked, my heart attack and my Dad had PVD. It will no doubt cost a lot of money to find out I am ok, but it will shut Robert and Kylie up.

Belinda asked me the other day how I went at the Drs, I popped in there to pick up some books, yet while I was telling her her eyes were anywhere but on me, so I knew she wasn't really interested. She then told me that they thought Keith's ulcer could be caused from Diabetes (I told her the Dr said my ulcers were like diabetic ulcers). I said rubbish, they can tell the difference between a bacterial ulcer and a diabetic one. That was on Tuesday, haven't heard from her since!!!

Bollocks is balls, as in mens balls, so yes, it could be classed as a bad thing

"Bollocks or ballocks is a British English term that is from the old German word for ball. The term is vulgar and is considered a swear word. It can be an interjection that describes something as nonsense or garbage, rubbish. However, the term can also mean a male's testicles."

It's the same here, they can take ages when going through a hospital. I don't know why, but they always say they are busy. At least you know nothing untoward is there as that would have been reported immediately, so in this case, no news is good news

BWAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.................I'm glad that Bonnie makes a tasty "mice pie"!  Sorry, but I did have to chuckle.
It's good the police neighbors knew about Dan's business, otherwise they might have come right over to investigate!

I don't know what the doctor will do, if he will lower the dose or try that dose again, it's whatever Mayo tells him. He just follows their plan so he will talk to them.  He told me I wouldn't feel the greatest so I wasn't surprised but I didn't expect it to be quite as bad.  I'm better today, I can't say I feel TERRIBLE, I'll be taking a nap but on really bad days I am almost not up at all.   When I say I felt bad, I just mean that extreme  fatigue, not sleepy but bone tired.  I did LOVE last night, I slept like a log and normally I hardly sleep at all on Wednesday night.  The doctor seemed very surprised that I had gone so long without the low blood counts, did I say  that both red and white cells were down along with everything else that had to do with the condition of my blood.  I hope to feel a bit better each day now and for SURE I hope to feel a lot better than I normally would on a Friday!!

That does sound awful and serious, sure hope you don't have the vascular disease.   It's good to find out and probably you don't and we all hope you DO NOT!!!    I have Sketchers too but I never walk anymore, it's too hot outside and the mall isn't open and with my low blood I wouldn't be out at the mall anyway.

Your "load of bollocks" came through just fine.  Is "bollocks" a bad thing?

Oh good grief, could they be THAT busy?  You've spent hours trying to get results and still NO RESULTS.  Maybe that cardio needs to get a partner in his practice, he must be TOO BUSY!
