That's the only time I ever remember using a hot water bottle. Belinda used to suffer badly with her periods too and I put her on the pill when she was about 15 and they settled her down too.

SO you have never been cold enough to have a hottie in your bed
?? I did have one in Perth but thinking about it, I did not use it much just mainly for aches and pains ! Such comfort then !
I do have to confess that about 3am today ... I got up, took off my long fluffy pj pants as I was too hot in bed and I tossed out the hottie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sweating cobs ! So maybe tonight I will only have my hottie ! NO long PJ pants and No socks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robert has always been my hot water bottle
He generates a lot of heat, so I would snuggle up to his warmth until I too was warm, he used to complain that I was cold when I got into bed
We had a warm night on Thursday night, I kept throwing the quilt off me and at one time I woke up sweating!!!!

Same, same John is MY hottie too when it is a cold night..... BUT I go to bed first normally so it is cold in the bed.. unless I have on my electric blanket.......... but I packed it thinking it was not cold ! THIS house gets NO sun during the day and so it is cold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say it is not too cold tonight but I will still take my hottie to bed ! IN fact it is boring now and there is nothing on the computer after I have finished here so after I check my wining lotto ...... ?? and will go to bed and read my book !
PS Annie sent a couple of photos of Matt's back garden, all done up by Richie and it looks good. I will put them up on our FB page

My house can be very cold too, no insulation in the walls and it would be way too expensive to put the insulation in now and we survive. You only have one more week to go and you will be at your new temporary residence. Don't forget to tell us your new address
I look forward to seeing the photos.

Our granny flat in Helensville had to have the walls insulated ... council rules ! It was never really cold either.

This house was built before all the rules came in and was used as a holiday, so no insulation in the walls, we have had insulation done in the ceiling though. It would cost a small fortune to have the walls done I think. I wonder if it would be worthwhile finding out

Depending on where you are in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area, some places get down to -2/3C. Here, the coldest we get in winter is 0C overnight and about 14C during the day, so it does get quite cold. How cold does it get in Waverly?

Hmm that is quite cold and here I am thinking Sydney has warmer weather all year. From what I remember of Marton ... similar area to Waverley, it can get minus over night too. Not as warm as up here normally but not as cold as Dunedin !
I see that Dan has ordered a load of firewood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Log burners in his house

It is quite cool here this morning and my fingers and toes are a lovely shade of blue and white due to Raynauds
It was a clear night, so that makes it cooler and it will dip down to 7C overnight here over the the next few days......Winter is arriving.

Bugger I had to look up Raynaud's but you have mentioned this before a while ago. Probably last winter !!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds awful so keep warm.
It was a clear night here too last night and the stars were out, not something I have been able to see while staying here because of the city lights and clouds !!! I do miss the clear night skies of Helensville

Not long now before you see the clear skies of the country, only two more days, isn't it? Do you know what the rental place looks like? You must tell us your new address as well.

I did do the reference and heard back from them thanking me. Oh Moira, this moving around wouldn't suit me at all and I think Dan is being unfair to you both, sorry.
