I received your lovely Christmas card today Darien with thanks,  my first one :)  It probably came yesterday and it was a good job I went down to Dan's and he remembered to give it to me as Bonnie just picks up the mail at the roadside box and takes it home, she does not read it and we all share the same box !!!!!
Also last week there was a Christmas colouring in competition for kids for posters to go in shop windows and I got some pictures for the kids to do. Jack did not have time ... but Cash and Greta did one each and I have a phone message to ring the local Rotary club as they have won prizes for their age group. Watch this space. Jack will be mad he did not do one :)

I'm glad you received your card :) Let us know what they win and yes, Jack is going to be spitting chips that he didn't enter.

It's nice Cash and Greta will get a prize but poor Jack will maybe NOT be so busy next time.   Let us know what he says about it all.

I was telling Bonnie today about the prizes and Jack overheard and said ' what am I getting ?'  !!  He was spittin chips when I reminded him he did not do one so I gave it to Greta to colour in ! I will ring Rotary tomorrow and see what they say.

If he didn't want to do it at the time, then that would be too bad if it were me. They have to learn that their decisions can affect others or themselves. I am a hard Grandma.

Same here Darien but I am not often grouchy . I am a soft touch BUT there are times when I have to lay down the law and I have done so once or twice, with Jack mainly !

I do agree ! At 2:45pm, school pick up time, it was absobloodylutely belting down .. Bonnie came up here to see if she could leave Greta while she went to pick up the boys  from Kindy and school as there were road works outside school and nowhere to park so she would have to walk from Kindy to get Jack and back to the car ... in the pouring rain. Greta had a tantrum not wanting to stay here for some reason and she screamed the place down as long as Bonnie was there !  I took her off Bonnie and said GO. Bonnie left and I sat down with Greta on my knee and she shut up ! Pure Temper.  She had a drink of milk and 3 biscuits... she must have been hungry too !!

Oh dear, the 'terrible twos' an awful time, they like to be in control. It's amazing how they settle once their parents are gone, isn't it?

It sounds like she recovered quickly and had a good snack too.  You sure do have the rain there, no wonder it's so green and beautiful.

Yes terrible twos  but I don't recall having a problem with mine ….. but then it was a long time ago :) And yes, she settles fine once Bonnie is out of sight !
So much rain Linda and yes NZ IS green, very green.  NO rain today …….  so far but it is a bit chilly.
