Lunch
« on: January 26, 2020, 11:32:03 am »
We usually have lunch out with Pam and Emma on Saturday.  Today Emma had to work so we decided to go to her pizza place and eat there so that's what we did.  They were super busy but after awhile she had time to come over to see us at our booth.  She happened to make my pizza.  It's a place where you go down a line and pick your crust, your cheese and the toppings you would like on your pizza.  Then they put it in one of those big ovens and Emma says it only takes about 3 minutes to bake.  They have salad and pastas and gelato.  I'll put a link here so you can see it.  Maybe I've done this long ago, not sure.
Anyway, it was fun to see Emma hard and work and our pizzas were delicious.  This place serves beer too but Emma can't serve that but in five days she says she can since she will be 18.  HOW DID THAT HAPPEN???

Emma will be the BIG 18 at the end of the month ………  HOW did that happen you ask ? I say the same !!! I cannot believe it ! Are you going to celebrate ?

I love the look of the food at Your Pie  ( do they sell Pies or do you call a Pizza a Pie ? )  It all looks very fresh and edible.  I have not seen any pizza place here like that but they do have them in Perth in some of the shopping centres and Annie and I went to one once.  It was OK but I am not a pizza fan really.  I am sure that  Emma took great care with your choice of pizza :)

How lovely that you have lunch out with Pam and Emma regularly. It looks a nice place and I don't believe we have a place that you pick out all the ingredients like that, but we do have heaps of Pizza places. I had homemade pizza for tea last night, that's how I prefer mine.
Where have the years gone??? Is Emma doing anything special for her 18th?

The food at Your Pie is very good and the place is so clean and tidy. You never go in and wander around looking for a clean table as you do some places.
Emma isn't doing anything BIG for her BIG birthday.  She is going to Iowa City for her yearly check up with the endocrinologist.  I don't suppose she will go back after this because the specialist is a pediatric doctor and Emma will no longer be a child.   We will go out for a meal on Thursday night, Malcolm too and then we will have birthday again whenever we get together with Susie and family.

There is a pizza place in a Perth shopping centre  like Your Pie where you can chose your own toppings. It was quite  nice but I too do my own.... not the base, I buy the base and do my own toppings now and again.
IT will be nice to go out for dinner on Emma's birthday, then do a family party when you next see Susie.

Her Birthday is on Thursday, isn't it?

We are the same Moira, we buy the bases, I have the cauliflower base and Robert has the normal ones.

Emma's place now offers the cauliflower crust, so many people are on that Keto diet here, Pam says everyone she works with is on it.  Emma said the cauliflower crust is so popular that they ran of it.  It costs more than the regular crust but Emma says that doesn't stop people from wanting it.   Mary can eat there now since they have that crust, I mean Mary Hickman..........friend Mary would eat the "regular".
I forgot to answer your question from the other day Moira..........yes, it's pizza pie, not regular pie.  Mostly people just say pizza and NOT pie.

I get mine from Woolworths, your store might be too small to have them, might be best if next time you are in a bigger store have a look. I usually buy a couple and freeze them till I want them.

Ange says she buys Cauliflower rice in UK and makes her own base.  We did not go to Countdown today as we met a friend Mel who we knew in Perth for coffee. We met at Borich  Darien, where we all went when you came  here :)   I will look tomorrow.  I have bought a cauli before and I did intent to make my own cauli pizza base but it never happened !

Is your friend a man or woman.......Melvin or Melanie?  I don't remember you ever mentioning a Mel.  How did you discover he/she lived near  you?  Facebook I suppose.
I noticed at Walmart yesterday that they have cauliflower rice.

I bought the cauliflower rice once, I liked it, but Robert said "Don't buy that crap again!".  ;D

Borich is a lovely spot, I loved looking around the shop they have so many interesting things in there. Not long before Ange goes home now :(
