Three Friends

Just heard from Dan that in order to rent this house in Hawera we need a reference !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never having rented a house for many years it can come from ..... '  an employee/colleague and /or personal reference (not family) '  Do you think maybe you can do one ?? Well of course you can !!!!

I have known Moira and John for 25 years and I know them to be honest and trustworthy people .

Not sure an American reference would work, but if it would, I'd be there for you Moira!!

I believe Penny sent one too but right now it is not looking likely that we may NEED a rental as everybody seems happy that we are HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   But thank you anyway and watch this space !

Tomorrow Dan and a mate go away for 10 days to drive all the way down to ChCh.  in the  Monster truck... 4 wheel drive vehicle. They are meeting up with  old Kavanagh College school mates in Queenstown ( South Island ) and they are all going OFF roading ! You may recall the last time they ALL got together to go duck Shooting  .....that Dan ended up with a broken neck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HELP but Bonnie says Dan needs this away time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is also good that we arrived here so we are available to keep Bonnie company and I Must say, she has been great since we got here yesterday 

Nice to know you were missed and I am sure the kids would have been so happy to see their Grammy once more. I hope you won't need the rental property and that you can manage in the studio for a time. I wonder if the studio could be extended to suit your requirements? Or is it too close to the house?

I hope Dan has a safe trip, I am surprised though that he would leave on Mother's Day!!!! Personally I think you need the holiday more than Dan does

Hahaha NO we did not even realise it WAS Mother's day ! Not until John and Matt decided to do dinner for us after they realised and had read in the paper that it was Mother's day here !  Anyway Matt and the boys did dinner and Bonnie and I sat in front of the log burner in the gorgeous wooden kitchen ( best room int he house if you ask me ! ) and sipped a glass of wine We were not allowed to comment on the cooking either but it was delish
