He was sooooooooooooooo looking forward to his first rugby tournament in his new school team today .. but when they got to Whanganui he felt sick.... not car sick,... according to Bonnie,  he was hot and really not right. She settled Cash in his team and John and Matt took over looking after Cash .... so Bonnie brought Jack back home. Yes he has covid and tested positive after he was home.  His class mate from the farmlet next door also has covid and has not been at school since Last Thursday !  Seems it is going to go all round here in little Waverley .. probably spread to us adults too !  SO we are officially in lockdown for 7 days .....well we are supposed to be in lockdown for 7 days !
Jack has been spewing up but he has not eaten so he is is not spewing up anything but ... flem ?  He has been drinking fluids and lots of water and did eat a half a piece of toast but he spewed that up  Poor little bugger (((((((((((((((Jack)))))))))))))))))

I'm so sorry he is sick, it sounds like he feels awful and I hope it won't last very long and that none of you will be sick either.  COVID has really died down here but I'm sure there still are cases.  Let us know how Jack is doing.

Oh poor ((((((((((Jack)))))))))) I am so sorry he didn't get to play in the Tournament, he must be so upset about it I didn't know that covid made you vomit!! Are you sure it is that and not a vomiting bug? Sometimes those RATs are wrong. I hope he feels better soon and no one else comes down with it.

I wondered about that too so I looked and found this.

Is It The Stomach Flu Going Around, Or Is It Just A New Covid Strain?
The new Covid variant BA.2 can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea, making it hard to tell if an upset stomach is a stomach flu or Covid.

The Rat test took its time but it definitely showed Positive. But the tummy upset stuff sounds exactly like Jack too Darien..  but he has stopped vomiting and did eat a bit of toast today. All good and he is in a much better frame of mind and more positive today even IF it is belting down with rain ! Thank goodness the fire is lit in the lounge and it is cosy :)

I am not reading all the posts because I am saving them for tonight ... but I am just a bit bored so read this one !!!!!!!!!!

Jack is better today and according to Bonnie, his school friends who tested Positive with covid are all also better after suffering for a day and night ! Seems to me it is like a tummy upset !  Bonnie was also feeling a bit OFF it today so I took over the kids and dinner etc. and she went to bed but felt better by the evening and no sickness. She did a RAT test and hers was negative  
Jack seems to be back to his normal loud self !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that information Linda, I didn't realise that vomiting and diarrhea were covid symptoms.

I am glad Jack is back to his normal self, will he need to be off school for the week? What about everyone else?

If Moira andn family are  all in lockdown for 7 days then I guess Jack won't be in school.  Sure glad he had a mild case!!

Officially we are all in lockdown for 7 days as Jack was Positive and today Bonnie also came up positive but she is OK and now it is Cash's turn and all he wants to do is lay in bed.... as Jack did also for the first few hours yesterday. SO maybe it will be Greta's turn tomorrow ... but methinks she has already had it and it came out in her tantrums the last couple of evenings when she would not eat dinner and she wailed and kicked her bedroom walls and would not do anything ! She was also sleeping in Bonnie' s bed at night as Dan is away !

Message from Dan today to say Gusty has covid. Yes, Gusty is down South with Dan and his mates but they are heading back up tomorrow ! Ah well I suppose it had to happen !

Oh dear it seems you will all no doubt get it, but I hope not. Poor Greta, kids react differently to illness and no doubt she just didn't know what to do with herself. These new variants are even more contagious, but much less severe in the illness, thank goodness. My love to you all ((((((((((Caseys))))))))))

All a bit better today but now John has tested positive with a sore neck and aching bones... so he has had 2 Hot Toddies and says he is ready for bed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7:30pm :)  Bonnie is not right still today but she too has had a Hot Toddy and says she will sleep tonight because the kids were up and down all last night !  Hopefully they will sleep tonight as Matt has been wearing them out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dan is due back but he will be late tonight !

Matt tested negative and he will not give me a test because he says I am a hard case !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    I do have a sore neck and have taken 2 Paracetamol and have my wheat bag on my neck right now :) Lovely :)

When you say you and others have a sore neck, do you mean like a stiff neck or a sore throat?   Who seems to feel the worst of all of you?
