Reading
« on: August 23, 2022, 12:40:36 am »
I struggle to read here as the print is so small and hurts my eyes but I have managed to read through the Christmas post, I am so sorry to see all the upset you have had Darien with the kids and I hope it can be resolved, you’ll have a nice break away from them, I have recently had a fall out with Mathew, which happens on a regular basis unfortunately and this time it was a big fall out so I told him a few home truths and thankfully he’s accepted it because I was sick of it! His bloody wife Sian usually starts an argument and then leaves Mathew to carry it on and we end up falling out, Sian is a manipulative **** and can’t stand Kate and the fact her and Mat were so close, now Kate hardly hears from Mat and it upsets her, I could go on but maybe that’s for another post, I just wanted to say, try not to let it get to you Darien, I know easiest said than done….families!

Can you not make the print bigger on your computer Chris ?
I do remember this sort of quarrel happening back in the old days Chris.... with Sian basically .....and it seems to happen in all families at some time or other ! (((((((((((((Chris))))))))))))))
We are all getting too old to have this sort of hassle !

I think it helps that Darien can come on here and vent and WE give our opinion Good or bad

(((((((((((((((((((Chris))))))))))))))))))))  I'm so sorry about this and honestly, I don't remember that you and Mat had troubles before, but then my memory is not good.   Being estranged from a child has to be one of the worst things and I know you have been a wonderful mother, just like Darien and I know you don't deserve this at all.   I imagine as long as Sian is around there will always be trouble, what a shame.

Sometimes I think the only reason we should have children is to learn what pain feels like and the joy of being a grandmother!!!! I am sorry ((((((((((Chris)))))))))) that you and Mat are still having these 'fall outs', no matter how often you have them, they seem to escalate into more heart ache.

Moira is right, I can let off steam on here and know I will not be judged for a decision I make, whether it be a right or wrong one.

No, we will not judge, only you know what is the best thing for your situation.  I'm just so sorry that things are the way they are!
I'm lucky, that in my case, my children have been a blessing.  Not that there were never problems, but for the most part things have been good.  EXCEPT for losing our Tim.  My kids have always respected Larry and I and that means so much.  I can't think of a time when we were on the "outs" with any of them.   I only wish things were like that for you Darien and Chris too.

I have to say too that my kids over the years have had their hassles with John mainly , not me much except my cooking and my honesty and plain speaking maybe .... thank goodness.
I am with you Linda as my kids have also been a blessing and we too have had the odd problem... losing Madeleine and the fact that Matt has never been the same since !  That seems to be the general opinion anyway !
Thankfully we can let off steam here and have no judgements... just advice... right or wrong but given with love !
Chin up chook ((((((((((((((((((Chris)))))))))))))))) ((((((((((((((((((Darien)))))))))))))))))))))

I thought you were like me in this Moira, very lucky for sure that we haven't had the hassles with our kids that Darien and Chris have had.
As I said the other day, I don't know anyone who has had problems with their kids like Chris and Darien, where they are actually estranged from them.  Pam works with estates every day, all day and she tells me how many families fight over their inheritance, it almost seems to be the norm for a family to be at odds.

Before Sian came on the scene me and Mathew were really close but she has this thing about Kate and it really winds me up and causes trouble between us, Kate is such a kind hearted soul and Mat is too until Sian starts! Thank goodness the twins are taking after Mat and not her!

It's how I remember it Chris, no troubles between you and Mat, I don't remember anything like that so it's quite obvious that it is Sian that has caused the problems and that is a shame.  I'm so glad those gorgeous little girls are like Mat, that's wonderful.

Thank goodness Bonnie is great so no problems there and having met Richie, no problem there either so yes we are lucky !!!!
Richie cooked a casserole for dinner tonight, did it all himself and Naia turned up this afternoon to study here in Annie's office space in peace... away from her nagging mother and her screaming sister.. so she said  !!!!!!!!!!
SO we all had a lovely dinner and a lovely chat together.
I do remember you telling us about Sian before too so it is good the girls take after Mat !!!! (((((Chris)))))

Glad you had a good night there with family Moira.  How far away does Naia live from Richie and Annie?

That sounds like a nice family dinner, Moira Does Naia often pop in to see Annie and do her studies there? Sounds like a typical teen, complaining about her mum and little sister

Yes methinks Naia is a typical teen and she does often ask to come here to do her uni. work for the  sake of peace !  OR so she says but I think Naia does not have many friends really and she comes here for the attention and the company !
They just live round the corner and up the road so it is easily walkable distance if you cut across the park :)

That's nice, she feels comfortable there with your family.  Why do you think she doesn't have many friends?
