Show

Kylie and Garry bought me tickets to the concert World of Musicals for Mothers Day, we went last night and oh, what a brilliant show. The cast was from Britain and they had lovely singing voices and the choreography was so good. We loved it

Oh my goodness, all of that wonderful show music, I would have loved it.  What a wonderful gift that was for you and Robert.  You are probably still singing!

It was so good and if you ever see it coming near you, go and see it. They sang Oklahoma, songs from the Pirates of Penzance, Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Songs from South Pacific and a lot more. I hope they bring out another show with songs they didn't do, but then that could go on forever. We weren't allowed to take photos or video it, otherwise I would have done so.

Every time I go to the theatre I always say I must attend more often, as I do enjoy live shows, but I never do go more often We also have a local Drama Group that put on an excellent play, Mum and I attended a few. A GP from the practice I go to is in them, but since covid, there haven't been any on.

We have the local playhouse too and Pam was in a couple of their musicals year ago.  I don't think she was in any when I knew you girls, probably both musicals were before we met.  I know one of them was 1996 and maybe one was after I knew you but I just don't recall for sure.
Live shows are really very good.

You should join the local Theatre Darien.
I used to help in the Marton Player Theatre and I understand it IS still going too !  Only just !  I did one or two parts .. minor parts but mainly Wardrobe, back drop painting and Prompts. We did not do Musicals very often but we did Kids shows and they did musical ones :) MY kids used to love it and were in all the kid's shows.

Reading more it seems the Theatre is not paying its way nowadays so it maybe closed soon :( Sad.

Too bad that the theater will be closing.  Ours seems to be going but it's a wonder it is because of COIVD.  I'm sure it was closed during the worst days of that.

I would have liked to join once, perhaps a few years ago, but not now. Such a shame that the Marton Drama Group may have to close up shop

I didn't realize that you would be interested in acting Darien?  Why didn't I know that?

Oh I have always been a Drama Queen, Linda Seriously though, it would have been fun to be in a drama group and I would have enjoyed it when I was younger, but not now.....goodness, I'd never remember my lines!!!!!!

That's funny Darien, a "drama queen"!!  I don't see you that way at all!
I wonder how older actors and actresses are able to memorize their lines, I certainly couldn't.

It's like everything else, if you have done it all your life, it just stays with you, like your typing Linda
