I may have time to read and post in the morning but I may not.  We are going to Rochester for my check-up appointment.  It's at 3:15 in the afternoon and if it takes quite awhile then we won't come back home, we'll stay overnight and come home on Wednesday.  Driving after dark is not something Larry cares to do anymore.  I may get in and out quickly so then we will come home, there is just no way of knowing.  We will pack a bag in case we do stay so if you don't see me tomorrow, you will know I'm not home.  I should have a chance to catch up in the morning but who knows.

Thanks Moira, I hope my check-up will be good and I'll get in and out and can just come back home late this afternoon.  Really, I doubt that will happen so I suspect we will be staying there tonight and then drive home in the daylight tomorrow.  It's only a 2 hour drive but at night that would be a long time for Larry.

I had just mentioned in an earlier post that I remembered you would be staying o/night on your Tuesday night. I suspect that you will be as your sunset would be quite early as it is Winter after all. Good Luck dearest friend and I hope all is well ((((((((((Linda))))))))))

We are away from the Tuesday 8th February and get back 11th, it's a midweek break as it's Robert's birthday on the 8th I don't think I will take my laptop with me, but I will, of course, have my phone, so I will keep in touch via FB.

I'm here and I got a good report, she and her student didn't see anything concerning and the doctor said   she will extend my time to come back to six months instead of 3 or 4.  We were very happy about that news.  Thank you for the prayers and good wishes, I know they helped!!

Yes Linda I think all prayers and good wishes are a help too (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Linda))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I see that you both got home safely too :) There is nothing like a sleep in your own bed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You still have a week to go Darien so think positive and hopefully Robert will relax and enjoy the few days away !

I was glad we came home too, it's fun to stay out in a hotel if you are on vacation and doing something fun but this wouldn't have been that kind of a stay.

(((((((((((((((Darien)))))))))))))))  I'm sure you had those thoughts and believe me, so did I.  When a person hears the word cancer, it is a very scary time and we have seen so many loved ones die of this horrible disease.  Nobody knows how long I will have a good report but for now it is GOOD!

Think Positive.  Think Positive.  Think Positive !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Have lost so many friends and family to cancer ..  IT Is the most scary thought ever ! (((((((((Linda))))))))))

I do think about it every now and again.. especially when I cannot sleep and apart from my sister Cath. and my Dad  ( heart attacks ) and Yar.... ( a fall in her old age of 93.) .....everyone else died from cancer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Mum, Ange, S. Moira ....  old friends and rellies .....16 of them  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO I say again ... WHY can THEY not find a cure ?????????????

We all have lost so many loved ones from cancer and have heard about so many others who have died of cancer as well. 
I found this article and it is long and complicated but I skimmed through it and see there is no easy answer.  At least there are now so many treatments that do help.

I had a very quick look at the site, but I really couldn't grasp the genomes etc, so I will give it a miss. The general consensus is as I thought already, there are far too many variants and responses of individuals to quite grasp the 'cure'. At least they are finding treatments, which is better than nought.

Right, it is so complicated and impossible to understand and it's no wonder there is no cure, but the treatments have improved so much over the years.

Of course it is complicated as there are so many variants of cancer and yes some can be cured with various treatments  so how come THEY can   ... not cure...  but find a vax to stop this covid and its many mutants  and variants and so fast too  ?

I did read the article Linda thanks and yes it was complicated but the bits about cancer tumours stood out !  All the people I know had tumours in their cancers.  Visible in scans etc. But not curable :(

Oh, I have no idea Moira, how the COVID vaccine was produced so quickly but I do know it had been worked on for many years so maybe they just had to tweak it a bit to make it work.  It's not perfect, people who are vaccinated still can and do get COVID but a much milder version.   It would be great to have a cancer vaccine but probably that won't happen anytime soon.
