Three Friends

Larry was so short of breath last night so Pam came and picked us up and we took him to the ER.  We talked to an "on call" doctor and she said he should be seen.  They did a lot of testing and found he has a UTI which could account for the fever of several days.  They didn't keep him because they said his oxygen was good even though he was so short of breath.  If he does ANYTHING, he huffs and puffs.  I have a call in to his cardiologist and will talk to him about it. 
Not sure if I'll catch up today, things are pretty hectic here and I'm tired.  We got home at 3:30am and Larry insisted he wanted to get up at 9:00 so I got up with him.  He's been sleeping in his recliner most of the time since.   Pam is going to pick up the pills at the pharmacy, the ones prescribed for his UTI.  They gave him one early this morning and he will have another tonight.

There's more.   The hospital called this afternoon and said to bring Larry RIGHT NOW, something from a test yesterday showed that the infection was in his blood stream, so Pam came back, picked us up and we went back to the ER.  They hurried him in and in short order had him on an IV with an antibiotic.  It took 4 hours to drip through and now we are back home again.  He has a different, stronger AB and so we hope NOW he will improve.  That's not all..............Tom called Pam and told her on the way home Saturday he started not feeling so well and today he had a COVID test and it was POSITIVE!    He said Mary is getting tested too.  He must have had it when he left here Saturday because he started feeling sick on the drive home.   Now we have all been exposed so will we get it?  Only time will tell.
Tom and Mary both had 2 vaccinations but not the booster.  Pam, Emma, Larry and I have had all 3 of the shots.
My head is spinning and I'm SO TIRED, I won't read tonight but maybe tomorrow unless something else happens.

Larry sees his regular GP today, if  you are in the ER or have been in the hospital you have to go to your doctor the next day.  It's snowing and windy today, looks like a blizzard so not a great day to take him out but we will go.   He is a teeny bit better today but still SO SHORT OF BREATH.  If he does anything he is breathless.  It took forever for him to get dressed with my help. 
I texted with Tom this morning and he says he's about the same as last night, not real bad at all, a little cough, runny nose but no fever.
He says Mary has similar symptoms but she had to have some other kind of test and they don't have the results.  I don't know what that meant?  I don't want to bug him asking a lot of questions.
Pam, Emma and I have no symptoms SO FAR at least.  We all have been exposed and YES now you know someone with COVID, not that you know Tom but really you DO!

Just in the last hour Larry got up to go to the bathroom and he said "I think I feel a little better" and I thought he looked and walked better.  He was also less short of breath. 
I texted Mary and asked how they are and she says she just feels crummy and that Tom has a bad headache.  Of course I know all about bad headaches so I feel for him for sure.   I hope his Asthma won't kick in and cause big problems. 
Larry's GP is on vacation and the PA is booked up until Thursday.  I called the hospital and told them that and they said I should take Larry's temperature often and watch to see he isn't getting worse and then go to see the PA on Thursday.  They said if the fever returns or if he feels worse to bring him right back to the ER.  I'm so glad I don't have to take him out, it's like a blizzard here today.
So far Pam, Emma, Larry and I don't have COVID symptoms!

Oh my goodness I hope Larry is feeling better by now and I hope you both don’t get Covid, have you been tested? Please take care

My concern with Tom is that he might have an Asthma flare up with this disease but hopefully he won't. 
Larry has no fever anymore and he sleeps almost all the time still.  Someone from the ER called again today to ask how he is and the guy said it could be weeks or months before Larry is fully recovered.  What he has is not a good thing to have and Larry is in such delicate health anyway.  I cancelled his chemo for today and a person called from there and asked about him and I told her what his problem is and she said she would have to talk with his doctor before she gives him another appointment. 
I can't remember if I told you that Mary's test came back negative so she didn't have it when she was tested but she may get it from Tom.
I don't really know if Tom has Omicron but I hope it's that.

Take my word for it, Ivermectin and hydroxichloroquine are two totally different drugs and neither one will protect you from covid. Do your own search on them.

Hopefully Tom will be fine as it seems that most people who have been vaccinated do not get it severely ((((((((((Tom))))))))))

That is a good idea Linda and maybe that IS the cause of Larry's infection !!!!!
Matt has done heaps of research regarding Ivermectin and he even has a few pills sent to him from a '''' friend '''' just in case !
