Three Friends

It started to rain here late this morning and we have had a nice steady fall that will water my poor lawn It has rained quite heavily in some areas and more importantly where fires were still burning. Sadly a lot of drought affected  areas didn't get any, but some did. The rain is forecast to fall over the weekend, so hopefully we will receive more and other areas as well. Sydney had some flash flooding and the main freeway down to sydney was bedlam as the ground around the freeway is so dry and hard that all the flow off fell onto the road!

I was just reading about all the rain and floods especially in Queensland. I suppose the rain will run off the dry land if it comes down too heavily.  A nice gently rain will be good for your garden. We are supposed to be getting a hot weekend. 
I have to go pick up Ange from the airport tomorrow morning...she arrives about 06:30 in the morning ! Bugger I will have to go to bed now so I get up in time to leave at 6AM !! No, on second thoughts I will wait for the lotto results and if I win I will tell her to get a taxi :0 

I am so glad to hear about all of that rain, what a miracle.
I imagine Ange is with you by now since you are ahead of me so far in time.  I hope you two will have a wonderful time and tell her I said "HELLO" even though I don't actually know her. 

Yes Ange is here and Yes she had a nice flight overnight ( well for 6 hours ) and got upgraded to Business class I left to pick her up at 05:45am and had to hang around so I parked the car and went into the terminal to find her.  There were so many airplanes landing at the same time, it was chaos.

As I was leaving here it was dark but there were flashing lights at the top of our drive and they were reflecting down to Dan's house.  There had been an accident at the top of on Inland Road drive and a car had rolled and crashed into the bank above our house ….and the police car was there trying to get the drunk driver to do a breath test or to go to hospital. I did manage to get out of the driveway onto the road but could not see much as it was still dark.
When we got back Dan said he was at the gate as the flashing lights had woken him and Bonnie and he was watching the Police. I never saw him when I left but it was dark. Dan went to have a look later and said there was blood and oil all over the road.
Something did wake me up before the alarm went off at 05:30am  so maybe the noise of the car crash woke me up first ! I suspect Dan will get the whole story from Liam later !

I'm so glad you got to the airport and got Ange and you are both safely home.  I hope there were no fatalities in that awful accident.  Let us know when you hear.

She is glamourous again tonight sitting outside and it is a gorgeous evening and no humidity, no wind and just so quiet now the kids have gone inside !!!! They were on the trampoline shrieking their heads off.

 Yes we did babysit Monday morning as Bonnie did her special extra class. The kids were great and Greta was sitting on Ange's knee while she read her a story.

Ange says tell Debs, she sends her love and she is having a lovely time. Ange is also doing the cooking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She did salmon topped with pesto and pine nuts plus baby roast potatoes and mushrooms and green beans. She like to cook Hooray
