Some supermarkets throughout New Zealand are about to have a brand new item in stock - rapid antigen tests (RATs).

Some supermarkets to stock rapid antigen tests as early as next week. The tests will be stocked at Foodstuffs shops - PAK'nSAVE, New World, and Four Square - from next week.

That sounds good but it is NEXT week and Bonnie would like a test NOW!  Could Jack be tested at the doctor's office?

Well Matt tried to buy some RAT tests in the Warehouse Chemist in Westgate today too and they said come back on Friday ! Bonnie never did manage to get one for Jack but he is OK today ! I actualleh think if Bonnie had taken Jack to the clinic in Helensville they would have done a test !
According to the news today we have lots of RATS available now !!!!!!!! BUT None in Helensville according to the local chat on FB !!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully you will be able to get some Rat's soon. I have two I bought a few months ago now and haven't had to use them. I just happened to be in my local Coles store, a small one, and it came over the loud speaker that they had some in, so I bought them while I was there!!!! Originally they were supposed to be free, don't know what happened to that idea!!!!!

Bonnie got one today and tested Jack, he did not like it shoved up his nose but the result was negative so they are all back to school tomorrow !
I went shopping today but did not find any RAT tests in NW or Pak n Save !

To be honest I did not think they may be infected... or any of us either but Cash's class mate who sits next to him had been off with covid, he is OK and I think there have been a few more families infected but not here so far thankfully.

Since Cash sat so near to the child with COVID he definitely had been exposed so it was good to get checked.

One must ere on the side of caution with COVID and if that means having a test done, then so be it. Did Bonnie need to show proof the RAT before Jack went back to school?

Not as far as I know and Cash and Greta were not even tested as Bonnie only had one test and I think Jack was worried about it ..... He is a worrier ! Cash's seat mate was not infected,  I got that wrong, it was his father who runs the local mechanic workshop and garage. They have shut the shop for a week or so.

I noticed in those fabulous photos how dark and long Jack's eyelashes are, it makes his eyes look dark and slightly slanted. They will pull in a lot of girls as he gets older Cash doesn't look quite as much like Jack anymore, he and Greta look like Bonnie. Greta looks like a little Gypsy in some of those photos and like an angel in others
