Three Friends

Oh nooooo How old is she now? I hope the vet is able to rehydrate her and get her kidneys back on track. My heart breaks for ((((((((((((((((((((Pam & Emma)))))))))))))))))))) They take a little piece of your heart when they go. When you next speak to Pam, please send her my love and tell her I am thinking of them both. You too Linda, you love Cupcake as well, I am so sorry, but perhaps she may pull through

OH how very very sad  ((((((((((((((((((Emma and Pam and Grandgran )))))))))))))))))))))) Cupcake has been part of your family for years. You will all miss her but she is a good age and has had a lovely life

Annie was telling us about Jackson.... Dan's OLD dog who is 14/15 now how he has been to the vets again and he is almost blind and poos all over the place !!!!!!!!!!!! He is not good at the moment.  Sad all round

Oh poor Jackson, it sounds bad for him.  I know Tony's old dog, "Dog", got so bad before he/she died.
The vet called Pam this afternoon and said Cupcake is doing better, she's eating again and she seemed to think that was good.  She may come home tomorrow but they want to see how she does today and over night again.  They told Pam she would need to bring her in every day this week for fluids.  Pam and Emma were so happy and so were Larry and I as well.  We all love that old cat!!
I don't know if you girls know what Pop Tarts are, they are a breakfast thing you can buy here and heat them in your toaster or just eat "as is".  Cupcake loves the cherry ones so Emma snuck one in to the vet place yesterday and Cupcake nibbled on it quite awhile.  Emma took a video to show us.  I told Emma that perhaps that turned things around for Cupcake.    I can't imagine a cat liking Pot Tarts but I guess Cupcake does.

I've never seen bacon and egg Pop Tarts but then I don't buy any so I suppose we have them.  Pam buys the fruit ones and Cupcake seems to love all the flavors.
Pam just called and said she was driving Cupcake home.  She has to go in for fluids every morning this week and Pam needs us to help out tomorrow and Wednesday.  She can drop Cupcake off at 8:00 but she has to go immediately to work because she has appointments so she asked if we could pick Cupcake up and take her home those two days.  So we will be at the PURRsonel Cat Care Clinic those two days.   The fluids only take ten minutes so it doesn't appear to be a lengthy thing for Cupcake.

See..............you should be a vet!  You know all about giving fluids to a cat. 

Today and tomorrow we have to take Cupcake to the vet because Pam is too busy at work.  We just got back from doing it today.  We went in with her while the doctor gave her the fluids and I see it is nothing bad at all and Cupcake just sat there.  She really hates being in her carrier and was happy to get back home. 
Taking care of a cat isn't hard at all but you do have to do the litter box.  They will have a little spoon thing to scoop the poo out of the litter.  Pam just puts it in a sack, ties it up and puts it in the garbage.  You put food out for them and water and that's it.   You will change the litter in the box at some point, whatever they tell you.  I don't know if Ellie's cat is an indoor cat but probably since most of them are.

We went to the vet's with Cupcake this morning and watched her get her fluids, it took about 2 minutes if that.  She sat nice and still for the person.  Then we drove her home, took her in the house and let her out of her carrier.  She went all around the house downstairs, looking around.  You'd have thought she'd been gone for a year.   Yes, she's doing much better, eating and acting more like herself. 
I don't smell the litter box at Joe's or Pam's and I have a pretty good nose.  I think they have pretty good litter that has something in it to prevent odor maybe.  Kylie has cats so you probably know all about litter.  How many cats does Kylie have?
