Robert and I finished all our Christmas shopping today. Robert had Belinda as his Secret Santa, so we bought her a lovely pair of pearl earrings and I still had to get May something. May isn't in the SS draw, and we couldn't think of what to get her when Garry suggested a food hamper as she has a sweet tooth, so we have gone halves in that and we went to David Jones, an expensive store Linda, and got her a lovely one. I posted all my Christmas cards last week and have made the Christmas pudding and even ordered the meat for Christmas. I have been very efficient this year and I am very pleased with myself

Good for you Darien. I'm doing well this year too and I don't know why but I'm really glad about it. I'm not sure what a food hamper is but I'm guessing it's an assortment of maybe crackers, cheese, sweets, etc..? I don't know about May, but I would love it!!
So do you have the family Christmas dinner at your house?

Do you not have food hampers over there? They are very popular here
This is the one we bought May and I know she will love it.

Christmas is at Kylie's place this year, I refused to hold it again here

HELP when is it Christmas again
?? Hahaha You both put me to shame as I have done nothing yet. Its is at Dan's house and I have not heard about secret Santa yet...… I must buy my cards tomorrow and mail them ……. What else ?
The Christmas hamper for May sounds lovely and a good idea, something like that would suit me as a pressie as I need nothing ! John has already given Annie and Matt money for Christmas.. their choice ! I have bought a wheelbarrow for Cash for his birthday on Sunday, that's what he wants so he can do the gardening with Grandad and his Dad. Jack cannot decide what he wants... as for Christmas
?

I have to say that hamper is for a very sweet tooth
Yuum.

The only thing I haven't done is remember to buy your Birthday card.....again today I forgot
Jack will have to decide soon as his Birthday is not far away either!!!

OMG look at all those funny faces that have appeared !!!
Do not worry about my birthday card Darien, I am still 70 and staying there !!!!!!!!!!!!
I see we are on together again but I am off to bed shortly, been up since 7AM that is early for me and No nana nap !
We do know what Jack wants … a microphone and speaker to broadcast his drumming and his singing around the paddock BUT the ones I have seen are far too advanced and far too expensive !

Yes we have similar things to what you show here............YUM, it looks wonderful. We just don't call them a food hamper and I actually don't know what we do call them.

That's interesting...............we get a warning when someone is on here posting with us? I guess nobody has ever been here with me since I've never seen the warning.
Matt and Annie will be able to use their Christmas money as they wish. We've done that before too but it doesn't SEEM like a Christmas gift really. Cash will have fun with the wheelbarrow. I suppose Jack wants a real microphone and they would be more expensive.

I know what you mean about giving cash, that's what Emma wants. It seems so impersonal, but at least this way she can get what she wants and she is saving up for a custom skateboard. Don't ask, I don't get it at all!!!!

The kids mostly want money for Christmas pressies and that's what we give but we also get them something wrapped up IF we are altogether. IN the case of Annie and Matt they just got the money ( already ! ) unless they fly over for Christmas ………….. expensive flights at this time of year but but but …… !
As for Jack and his microphone and speakers...……. the close neighbours are police :0 Melissa, the mother of two wee girls, is a Community constable and her husband is a regular police man. We often see the police car go zooming off up the driveway ! Nice people

It would be lovely if Matt and Annie came over for Christmas, but with a mortgage and all........
I finally remembered to get your Birthday card yesterday, I'll post it this morning, you'll get a laugh with it

Emma wants a custom skateboard??? Didn't she just get hurt with her skateboard and thinking of that, how is she? Honestly, you would think I would remember what she broke/injured, but for the life of me I do not know.
I can see why you guys don't send actual Christmas presents from one country to another, money works best I'm sure and I know they welcome it. Where will Matt and Annie be for Christmas or do you know yet? Maybe with Rachel and her family? I wish they could be with you but I am sure it would cost a lot to fly at Christmas. Has Matt ever been there, I know Annie has.

I look forward to my birthday card then Darien
Matt and Annie may yet decide to come at the last minute otherwise they will go to Rachels. Yes Matt has been here but he borrowed my car and took off to see some mates further south so we did not see THAT much of him ! !!!
Emma damaged her wrist Linda when they were camping and it is in a cast thingy. ;0

Oh YES, Emma's wrist. I think it was going to be weeks before it was healed and I don't think it's been THAT long now, or has it? I would think a last minute airline ticket would be very expensive for your kids even if they could get one. I wish they could be with you all!!
