I suppose your dogs would feel the cold in winter if they get their coast sheared off so they need cover.  Why don't you get them clipped in the summer time when it is warmer ?

No, they only wear them at night and they are used to them so they don't mind them at all :)

I keep their coats very short in summer and what is called a 'winter trim' in winter, Moira :)

OIC so they get a proper haircut in summer to keep them cool in the heat and a trim when they get tatty haired in Winter ? That makes sense :)
